I just spent a fun ten minutes watching videos of vuvuzela afficianodos doing their thing. I was a little surprised to discover that it pops up in contexts other than soccer.

    This one is especially nice.

    Great cartoon/illustration!

Thanks for the link Linda, really enjoyed it. The vuvuzela is great fun, I’m thrilled South Africa has introduced something new to the world.
That said, the boys’ vuvus are going in recycling the day after the Cup ends, the noise is driving me batty!

God help us, the Americans have done it again. There is now a…. vuvuzela alarm clock!

Who says the American entrepreneurial spirit is dead? 🙂

Yikes! That’s outrageous. The vuvuzela is now the iconic image of this World Cup. I was at the airport a few days ago and every single tourist had one sticking out of their hand luggage. They are gonna go forth and multiply!

Your team did brilliantly, top of their group. There are already masses of US fans in the country and I think more are coming. This World Cup is turning out to be a complete blast, it’s going to be very dull when it’s all over.
